WHY I DO WHAT I DO
I was introduced to film in high school during a communications technology class, after that I was hooked. I wanted to learn more about using a camera and creating fun things, but I always thought of it as a hobby, not something I could make a living off of. After studying Early Childhood Education at Ryerson University and wanting to go in a different direction, I thought back to my high school days and said to myself "I want to do this. Let's see how far I can go." I poured my time and energy to learn about the craft of filmmaking. What I learned along the way was more than I ever expected. I learned the importance of communication, the countless hours of work business owners put into growing their business, to take creative chances when the opportunities arrive, and so much more. What this has all taught me is that film is so much more than moving images. The medium of film is a collaborative process where creativity meets the technical to produce stories that makes us feel. It can inspire us to do things we never thought we would. I think that's really powerful and that's what I want to do for you.
